Stacker Training
This course is suitable for anyone who is required to use a Stacker, whether they have never operated a Stacker, have some experience or need refresher training.
NOVICE – a dedicated learning programme which builds up confidence. Trainees will learn all the theory knowledge associated with this truck, how to check it over to make sure it is safe (pre shift check) as well as learn how to operate the truck to the correct safety standards outlined by ITSSAR and recognised by the HSE. A sample of some of the lessons would include:-
The Health and Safety at Work Act including the Approved Code of Practice (L117), PUWER & LOLER regulations
* Rated Capacity
* Operators Safety Code – Do’s and Don’ts
* Lift Truck Stability
* Battery maintenance
Candidates will be supported with the necessary information to guide them through the course, including a comprehensive 128 page manual. The course duration is one or two days dependent on truck type for up to three people .
EXPERIENCED – for those already operating the truck on a regular basis but have never received formal training. This course will make sure operators are following all the correct procedures but the course duration is one day for up to three candidates.
SAFETY REFRESHERS – this course is for candidates who already hold a certificate for the Stacker. Whether you have one, two or three candidates this is a days course.
CONVERSION – for those you already have a basic training certificate for a another forklift truck eg. Counterbalance, Reach, PPT it is possible to convert skills across to this truck within one day.
On successful completion of any course, our customer will be issued with all training records and certificates as well as uploaded onto the ITSSAR TOPS Database as required by the HSE. So you can be rest assured that all paperwork will be in order for audit purposes. Highgate Training will keep copies of all training records for six years.
